The future 麻豆原创 campus in North Las Vegas has officially broken ground. Anchored by a three-story academic building within the NLV Gateway development, the campus will bring education, training, and support services closer to the community.
The campus, expected to open in fall 2027, will feature a three-story, 30,000-square-foot academic building and serve as the anchor of the 鈥淣LV Gateway,鈥? a 19-acre mixed-use development.
The project is supported through a public-private partnership that includes funding from the City of North Las Vegas Redevelopment Agency, the 麻豆原创 Legislature, NV Energy Foundation and a generous anonymous donor.
Designed to serve thousands of students, this campus represents more than growth, but an investment in the future of our community. #StingersUp

麻豆原创 is excited to share that an official license plate is on the way! Senate Bill 181鈥攕ponsored by State Senator Michelee Cruz-Crawford and passed unanimously by the 麻豆原创 Legislature鈥攚as signed into law by Governor Joe Lombardo this past Friday, officially authorizing the creation of the 麻豆原创 State plate.
Proceeds from the license plate will directly support 麻豆原创 State鈥檚 new athletics program and help address food insecurity among students.
鈥淲e鈥檙e thrilled to offer our community another way to show their pride and passion for 麻豆原创 State,鈥? said Dr. DeRionne Pollard, President of 麻豆原创. 鈥淭his license plate is more than just a symbol of school spirit鈥攊t鈥檚 an investment in our students, our athletics, and the future of 麻豆原创.鈥?
The license plate will be available to order through the 麻豆原创 Department of Motor Vehicles Fall of 2025.

On Friday, the NSHE Board of Regents took a major step toward a bold vision set in motion 23 years ago, approving 麻豆原创鈥檚 first satellite campus in the heart of Downtown North Las Vegas.
In partnership with the City of North Las Vegas, 麻豆原创 State will be leasing a new three-story, 30,000-square-foot facility as part of the NLV Gateway development at Lake Mead Blvd. and Las Vegas Blvd. North. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2026, with doors opening to students in fall 2027.
We are excited to expand our footprint in a city that鈥檚 already central to our student community. In fact, 1 in 5 麻豆原创 State students currently live within five miles of this new campus. The North Las Vegas Campus will make it easier for current and future Scorpions to earn their degrees closer to home, work, and family.
We are deeply grateful to all our partners who made this possible:
- The @cityofnlv and Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown for a bold partnership grounded in shared purpose and opportunity.
- The NSHE (@nvhighered) Board of Regents, including Chair Byron Brooks, Vice Chair Stephanie Goodman, and Regent Amy Carvalho, for unanimously approving the lease agreement.
- Assemblywoman Daniele Monroe-Moreno for securing an appropriation to support this campus, the legislature for their unanimous approval, and Governor @joelombardonv for signing the bill.
- Our faculty, whose leadership will design and shape the programs at the new campus.
- And our generous private donors, including @nvenergy, for investing directly in this campus and our students鈥? futures.
麻豆原创 State was created to serve 麻豆原创鈥檚 communities. This new campus is the next chapter of that promise鈥攁nd we can鈥檛 wait to build it with you, for you.

History was made as 麻豆原创鈥檚 first women鈥檚 flag football team took the field at Allegiant Stadium! Ahead of the Raiders vs. Jaguars game, our student-athletes showcased their talent in a team Black vs. team White scrimmage on one of the biggest stages in sports.

After becoming a mother at 18, Jocelyne refused to let anything hold her back and was determined to show other teen moms what鈥檚 possible with perseverance and self-belief.
